The Stephen Thomas Homes team proudly claims more than 25 Parade of Homes awards for excellence, participation as a General Contractor in the Homes For Our Troops program, and construction of the 1st certified EasyLiving Home in the state of Virginia. We work to shift the perception of traditional home building and renovations to include the recognition of friendlier, healthier, and safer housing options. We also build new homes that meet Earthcraft and Easy Living standards.

About Stephen "Steve" Thomas

Steve Thomas, President of Stephen Thomas Homes, is a Richmond native and has been an active member of the building community since 1979 and is a past president of the Home Building Association of Richmond. He has been recognized a number of times for his leadership, including the Ernest E. Mayo Award given to the outstanding member of the year of HBAR. In 2009, Steve was recognized by the Home Builders Association of Virginia as the “Builder of the Year” for his efforts to bring accessible housing to the forefront of our building industry.

Established and Experienced

Steve’s first-hand knowledge of the building industry and involvement with HBAR, the Home Builders Association of Virginia, and the National Association of Homebuilders combine to establish his credentials as an experienced and quality home builder with the resources to make your homebuilding and renovations experience an enjoyable one.

Steve has also served for the past 2 years as president of Virginia Accessible Housing Solutions (EasyLiving Homes), a non-profit organization dedicated to helping increase the number of accessible homes in Virginia.
